Mayor Bernard S. Waclin and Vice Mayor DAX D. Godio, Barangay Loacan Officials, along with spectators, witnessed the inaugural Mountain Bike Enduro Challenge held at Mt. Camisong in Itogon on June 25, 2023.
The sporting event was held at Mt. Camisong, a new and upcoming forest park in Barangay Loacan, Itogon. Athletes from across the country participated in the competition.
The Mt. Camisong MTB Enduro was a collaboration between LGU Itogon, Baguio-Benguet Eagle’s Club, and Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Event. The joint effort aimed to promote sports tourism and showcase the natural beauty of Itogon as an emerging destination for outdoor activities.
The local Itogon PNP, BFP, and Itogon MDRRMO ensured safety and security of all participants and visitors during the event.
