The Commission on Audit (COA)-Benguet held an Exit Conference with The Municipal Local Government Unit of Itogon at the Municipal Function Hall on June 22, 2023.
The conference served as a platform for auditors from COA Benguet to present their findings and recommendations to enhance the financial operations of the LGU.
Led by Audit Team Leader Gaspar S. Otgalon Jr. and Maila Cendaña, the auditors from COA engaged in a comprehensive discussion with Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, Municipal Administrator Arnel F. Bahingawan, Municipal Accountant Atty. Farida Mateo, and heads of various departments within the LGU.
The conference centered around the Audit Observation Memorandums (AOMs) for the Calendar Year 2022. The auditors elaborated on their findings and presented a set of appropriate recommendations.
Expressing gratitude for the cooperation extended by COA Benguet and Itogon LGU employees, Mayor Waclin emphasized the importance of transparent governance and responsible utilization of government funds.
