The Itogon History Book officially begins with an indigenous ritual on February 25 at the Municipal Grounds. This follows an initial meeting held last week to launch the project.

Members of the Itogon History Writing Committee, representing the nine barangays of Itogon, attended the event.
Aloysius Kato, a committee member, explains that the ritual seeks the guidance and blessings of Itogon’s forebearers to ensure the smooth and successful progress of the project.

After the ritual, the committee now starts gathering and compiling historical accounts from their respective barangays. The committee plans to consolidate these accounts into a history book, aiming to complete it by April of this year.
