LGU Itogon, led by Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, in partnership with the Lower Gomok Multi-purpose Cooperative (LGMPC), conducted a two-day leadership workshop attended by nineteen LGU-accredited livelihood cooperatives and associations from April 2 to 3 at the Itogon Training Center (ITC), Tuding, Itogon.
Author and speaker Chris Dao-anis served as the resource person for the workshop titled “Leadership Development Towards Better Performance.” The training aimed to empower members of livelihood cooperatives and associations to further equip them as they serve their functions in their respective roles.
Topics included accountability, healthy interactions, a mindset for growth, improvement, initiative, integrity, empathy, and adaptability.
Mayor Bernard S. Waclin commended LGMPC, headed by its chairman, Eugenio Tuguinay Jr., for initiating this training. The mayor highlighted the importance of leadership training to promote growth among their businesses that contribute to the municipality’s economic growth.
Present to facilitate the training were Committee Chairman on Livelihood Councilor Norberto I. Pacio, Municipal Livelihood Coordinator Engr. Michael GTauli, Itogon Cooperative Development Specialist Ronald Langban, and the LGMPC officers.
