IN PHOTOS: Scenes from the belly dance competition took center stage during the Women’s Month culminating celebration on March 26, 2024, held at the Fianza Memorial Gymnasium in Poblacion.
Participants included women’s associations from nine barangays in the municipality.
LGU Itogon, led by Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, concluded the Women’s Month celebrations. Spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), under the leadership of Grace Pocsol, the activities included Women Officers for a Day (WOFAD), where women from the municipality took over elected officials’ roles.
In addition to the belly dance competition, women also competed in floral arrangements and a best-dressed table contest, showcasing local products from their associations.
Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, Vice Mayor DAX D. Godio, and the Sangguniang Bayan Members expressed their support for the LGU’s assistance to women’s welfare and pledged to further intensify government programs and activities.
During the event, Rural Health Physician Dr. Marie Jorielyn Banhingawan gave a lecture on women’s health, accompanied by Dr. Lorna Saculles, who spoke about dental health.
