On October 14, 2024, the Local Government Unit of Itogon, led by Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, and SN Aboitiz Benguet (SNAPB), represented by Plant Support Services head Rose F. White, held a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for SNAP-BI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
In her statement, White acknowledged the efforts of Mayor Waclin, noting that this year’s CSR fund increased by P700,000, bringing the total to P2.2 million, compared to the usual P1.5 million.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Vice Mayor Dante Alain Xavier D. Godio, Municipal Administrator Arnel F. Bahingawan, Councilor Clint D. Galutan, LGU department heads, officers from the Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The CSR fund is allocated to purchase a vehicle to enhance public service.
SNAP Benguet owns and operates the 140-megawatt Binga hydroelectric plant in Binga, Tinongdan.
