The Local Government Unit of Itogon was honored with the Scroll of Honor Award during the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Benguet’s celebration of the 2024 National Blood Donors Month, held on August 16 at the ATI-CAR, Aspulan Hall, La Trinidad, Benguet.
This award was presented by the PRC Benguet Chapter Administrator Oscar G. Paris in recognition of LGU Itogon’s commitment to organizing blood donation drives and supporting Red Cross initiatives.
Furthermore, Dr. Oliver P. Guadaña, the Head of the Municipal Health Services Office and President of the Baguio-Benguet Medical Society, was honored with the “Blood Galloner” award for donating blood to the PRC fifteen times.
Mayor Bernard S. Waclin lauded the Itogon MHSO for their efforts to improve the community’s well-being through active participation in Red Cross Benguet’s programs and services. He also extended his gratitude to all life-saving individuals of Itogon who donated blood during the donation drives held in the municipality.
Itogon Blood Galloner Dr. Guadaña encourages all able-bodied individuals to donate and save lives, emphasizing the importance of service to others.
