Mayor Bernard S. Waclin administered the oath of office of Daisy Charongen and Dalupirip Punong Barangay Paul Camantiles as new members of Itogon People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB), today, April 15, 2024.
The oath-taking is witnessed by Itogon PLEB head Councilor Atty. Jodea Acay-Camuyot.
The primary role of the PLEB is to investigate and hear cases involving allegations of abuse committed by members of the police force.
Operating under the supervision of the Local Government Unit (LGU), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), the PLEB acts as a check and balance mechanism for ensuring the integrity and accountability of the PNP.
