LGU Itogon, under the leadership of Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, joins the nation in commemorating National Women’s Month 2024, with the theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!”
The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), headed by Grace Pocsol, has organized various activities. These include the Women Official For A Day (WOFAD) event on March 25, in which women will take on the roles of elected officials of the LGU for a day. The Women’s Annual Sports League is scheduled for March 22 at the Tuding Gymnasium, and the Municipal Women’s Day Celebration is set for March 26 at the Fianza Memorial Gymnasium.
Itogon MSWDO encourages everyone to wear purple every Friday throughout March to show support for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
