FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT

Pursue a people powered comprehensive development planning effort in the municipality to improve quality of life.

OBJECTIVES

1. Formulate and oversee the implementation of vital plans of the municipality, i.e., Medium Term Development Plan, Annual Investment Plan, Land Use Plan
2. To prepare project studies and proposals for major development project
3. Generate reliable and timely statistics and information relevant to the municipality
4. Perform other regular technical and administrative functions

SERVICES:

1. ISSUANCE OF LOCATIONAL ZONING CLEARANCE FOR BUILDING PERMIT - All enterprise and private persons constructing a new building or applying for expansion/renovation are required to secure a zoning clearance upon application for building permit.  This should be done before the start of construction to ensure that the building/business is allowed in the chosen location as per the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) of the Municipality.
   
2. ISSUANCE OF ZONING CLEARANCE FOR BUSINESS PERMITBusiness enterprises are required to secure zoning clearance before the start of commercial operations and during the annual renewal of business permits.  This is part of the process of securing a Business License/Mayor’s Permit.
   
3. PROVISION OF TECHNICAL INFORMATION - This service involves the provision of technical information such as the Socio-Economic Profile, Development Plans, Investment Plans, Accomplishment Reports and other vital documents to researchers/clients who need it for specific/legal purpose
   
4. PROVISION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE PREPARATION OF PROJECT PROPOSALS AND TRAINING DESIGNS - The Planning Office provides technical assistance to clients in the preparation of Project Proposals/Training Designs
   
5. PROVISION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE PREPARATION OF PROGRAM OF WORK
