September 1, 2026 — Mayor Bernard S. Waclin administered the oath of office to the newly constituted members of the People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) of Itogon.
Engr. Michael G. Tauli took his oath as PLEB chairman, together with members Councilor Norberto I. Pacio, Itogon Centeral School Principal Ricardo S. Samson Jr., Poblacion Punong Barangay Flordeliza G. Depayso, and Itogon Municipal People’s Council Chairperson Julius Ligawen.
PLEB are tasked with helping ensure accountability and proper conduct among members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The board also receives acts of complaints against PNP officers and personnel.
The PLEB is also part of the civilian oversight mechanism intended to promote police accountability and strengthen public trust in law enforcement.
