The Itogon Municipal Police Station under the supervision of Acting Chief PCPT Brett Allen Ande, together with barangay officials, continues to conduct Oplan Tangguyob in various parts of Itogon today, August 31, 2026
They reminded residents to ensure safety and conduct preemptive evacuation to prevent untoward incidents as heavy rains continue to be felt in the municipality brought about by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon.
They also reminded small-scale mining operators and workers to strictly observe the temporary suspension of mining activities as a safety precaution due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The Itogon MPS said the activity aims to prevent accidents and other weather-related incidents, particularly in areas vulnerable to landslides, flooding, and other hazards, while ensuring the safety of miners and nearby communities. (Source | Itogon MPS)
