The Itogon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Engr. Cyril Batcagan, recommends daytime travel due to increased risks of landslides and poor visibility, particularly along the Baguio-Bua-Itogon Road near First Gate, Ucab.
The advisory comes following the continued heavy rainfall, which has saturated soil and increased the possibility of landslides.
Reduced visibility at night may further increase travel risks, especially along sections prone to soil erosion and slope movement.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary nighttime travel whenever possible.
