The Local Government Unit of Itogon, led by Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, joined the Department of Health’s Healthy Workplace Program during the Onboarding Workshop on the Promotion of Healthy Workplace held on May 6, 2026 at the Municipal Hall.
The activity was spearheaded by the Department of Health – Cordillera Center for Health Development through its Health Promotion Unit led by Ms. Jefferson Tamondong, Health Education and Promotion Officer III.

As part of the program, LGU Itogon will work toward meeting the Healthy Workplace Framework criteria set by the Department of Health, including the implementation of wellness programs, health-promoting policies, occupational safety measures, and supportive workplace initiatives for employees.
The initiative forms part of the DOH’s continuing effort to promote employee wellness and improve productivity in government workplaces across the Cordillera region.
