Feature | Under the heat of the mid-April sun, the banks of the Ambalanga River became a hub of community action. From April 13 to 16, 2026, a dedicated team of MENRO personnel, local citizens, and volunteers joined forces for another three-day cleanup across Virac, Ucab, and Tinongdan.
Equipped with only sacks and gloves, these groups worked side-by-side to remove debris and restore the water’s natural flow. The effort didn’t stop there—the cleanup drive continued through this week, proving that the mission to protect our waterways is an ongoing commitment shared by the local government and the community.
This initiative is a powerful reminder that keeping the Ambalanga River healthy doesn’t require a miracle; it just takes people willing to roll up their sleeves and look out for their own backyard.
Join the movement! We invite everyone to help keep our rivers pristine. Whether by joining the next organized cleanup or simply disposing of your trash properly, your actions make a difference. Let’s protect our lifelines together.
