Today, March 23, 2026, marks the formal commencement of the Women Officer for a Day (WOFAD) 2026 program at the Municipal Hall.
Women from the nine barangays take on the roles of the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and the Sangguniang Bayan Secretary for a day.
The Women Officer for a Day (WOFAD) 2026 officially kicked off with a ceremonial turnover of responsibilities and oath-taking led by Municipal Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, along with Vice Mayor Hon. Dante Alain Xavier D. Godio and Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Cesar A. Altiga, Hon. Norberto I. Pacio, Hon. Clint D. Galutan, Hon. Albert C. Carantes Jr., Hon. Lucky B. Busacay, Hon. Albino A. Diego, Hon. Alejandro L. Palangdan, Hon. Noel D. Bilibli, Hon. Edwin O. Atumpag, Hon. Kennedy W. Waclin, Hon. Rachelle B. Capsula, and Mr. Rock H. Cariño.
The Women Officers for a Day are: Mayor Maritess T. Villanueva (Brgy. Virac); Vice Mayor Jean M. Faustino (Brgy. Ucab); Councilors Geraldine P. Budo (Brgy. Tuding), Gladys L. Cabintos (Brgy. Tuding), Genie H. Sabado (Brgy. Ucab), Lyzle P. Sablod (Brgy. Virac), Odette R. Quinic (Brgy. Loacan), Maureen Claire S. Sabbang (Brgy. Loacan), Daisy L. Betudio (Brgy. Loacan), Jean F. Solivio (Brgy. Virac), Beverly Ann B. Diguel (Brgy. Ampucao), Arlene C. Yap-Ingew (Brgy. Ampucao), and Marlyn O. Aluyen (Brgy. Gumatdang); and SB Secretary Cyra C. Palingping (Brgy. Loacan).
This initiative provides a vital platform for women leaders from various barangays to engage directly in municipal governance and assume key roles alongside the Sangguniang Bayan members.
