In Compliance with Republic Act No. 12001 or the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA)
To ensure that property valuations in Benguet are fair, transparent, and aligned with current market conditions, the Provincial Government of Benguet will conduct a Public Consultations on the Proposed Schedule of Market Values (SMV) in compliance with the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).
The Schedule of Market Values is the official basis for assessing real property. Updating it is a legal requirement under RPVARA and a crucial step to ensure that land and property values reflect present-day realities-benefiting both the Province and its constituents.
Benguet 1st District, which includes Itogon, is scheduled for a public consultation on March 12, 2025, at the Benguet Sports Center Gymnasium, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The public consultations aim to:
โข Explain how property values are determined
โข Present the proposed valuation data
โข Receive questions, concerns, and suggestions from the public
โข Promote transparency before the proposal is submitted for national review and approval
