On February 4, 2026, residents of Barangay Loacan initiated the installation of additional drainage line at the Luneta–Loacan Proper junction, along the Antamok River, through a ‘binnadang’ (community cooperation).
The initiative serves as a pre-emptive measure to mitigate flooding and prevent frequent road closures during typhoons and periods of heavy downpour.
