BCU Recognizes Research Partners
Baguio Central University (BCU), led by University President and Chair of the Board of Trustees Dr. Margarita Cecilda B. Rillera, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Elma D. Donaal, formally conferred a Plaque of Recognition to the Local Government Unit of Itogon, represented by Municipal Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, in acknowledgment of its invaluable partnership with the University.
The recognition was awarded in appreciation of the LGU Itogon’s sustained support and collaboration in BCU’s academic and community-based initiatives, including the Medical Mission spearheaded by the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery, the literacy advocacy at Gumatdang Integrated School spearheaded by the College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts, and the Financial Management advocacies implemented in Loacan, Itogon by the College of Business Administration.
Also present during the awarding were Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, Director for Research; Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, Dean and Research Coordinator of the College of Business Administration; Dr. Gina L. Casi, Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery; Ms. Arlene A. Mintas, University Extension Coordinator; and Mr. Allan P. Guinanghan, Extension Coordinator of the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery.
This recognition forms part of the University’s continuing initiatives under the leadership of President Rillera to honor institutional partners whose leadership and commitment strengthen collaborative research, public service, and evidence-based practice across the academe and government sectors.
